I’ve noticed my Lucid Air keeps waking up constantly while plugged into my NEMA 14-50 outlet using the factory charging cable. My charge limit is set to 80%, and the car stays plugged in with no scheduled charging times.

Here’s what happens: every 20 minutes or so, I get a “Charging Session Started” notification followed almost immediately by a “Charging Session Completed” one. This is odd because the battery doesn’t need charging—Lucid says it should only wake up and charge if the battery drops 5% below the set limit.

Out of curiosity, I tested lowering the limit to 75% while the battery was already at 80%. The wake-ups still happen just as often, though this time I only get the “Charging Session Completed” notification.

I’ve contacted Lucid Customer Support, but I thought I’d ask here: has anyone else experienced this? Could it be an issue with the charging module or a related component? If you’ve had this happen, what was the fix? Thanks in advance for any help or insight!

This might sound odd, but sometimes the factory charging cable can be the issue. I had a problem with constant wake-ups on a different EV, and switching to a third-party Level 2 charger solved it. Try borrowing another cable to rule out the difference. It might help figure out if the cable is causing the hiccup.
