Dad is looking for a new SUV, and the Lucid Gravity appeared to be the best option on paper. However, there is no information on the release date or price. We almost bought a Tesla Model X after the price dropped recently. However, the test drive threw us off guard since some of the key features that we’re looking for were absent on the Tesla while it’s a standard on the Lucid. So, what do you all think? Wait for the Gravity or get the discounted Tesla?

Getting the discounted Tesla even if it doesn't have the features you're looking for will just give you a sense of regret. It is better to buy a car that already has everything or is near to what you want. Take it from me who had to sell a newly bought car because there is a better option that just came out with all of the features I'm looking for.

I agree that the Model X is starting to show its age. It's a great SUV, but it lacks some of the features that newer models have, like blind spot warning and 360 cameras.

If you need an SUV immediately, I'd recommend the Rivian R1S or the BMW iX. Both are great vehicles with a lot to offer. If you can wait a few months, the Polestar 3 or Volvo EX90 are also worth considering.

I think the Gravity is the best option overall. It has a great interior, a spacious third row, and a long range. I would definitely wait for it if you can.
