I’ve read online that the Lucid Air models are getting a Center Side Airbag; which basically inflates between the driver and passenger if there's a side impact.

Has anyone noticed this feature in their car yet? Curious to know more about how it works or if anyone has any experience with it. Thanks.

I noticed in a Lucid Air Euro NCAP crash test video that the front center airbag does indeed inflate between the driver and passenger during a side impact, around the 1:13 mark. It’s designed to provide extra protection in side collisions.

See video here:

Yeah, its definitely a cool feature, but I'm kinda curious if its available on US models or if its just a European thing for now. I checked the Lucid Owners Manual for the US, and it doesn't mention the center side airbag at all.

I think the "Side Airbags (Seat-Mounted)" is the one.

Yes, the Lucid Air does feature a center side airbag in some trims, designed to reduce injuries during side impacts by preventing contact between the driver and passenger. It’s tucked away between the seats and only deploys when needed, so you wouldn’t notice it during everyday use.
