Last weeked, my LucidAir was rear-ended by a Jeep Wrangler, badly damaging the rear. Here’s what I’ve learned since: The insurance company tried to push me to a "preferred" shop, but using a certified Lucid shop is essential for proper repairs. The car’s undrivable due to electrical components in the trunk, and I’m expecting a 3-month repair time. The insurance is resisting paying for an EV rental, and diminished value is a factor. If totaled, I’ll claim the remaining Electrify America credits..

That's so bad for you. At least people here now have some information that might be helpful in similar cases. What are you going to do from now on?

Thanks for the support...for now, I’m sticking with a certified Lucid shop for repairs and pushing the insurance for an EV rental. I’ll monitor the repair timeline closely and prepare to handle the diminished value if it gets totaled.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened. Just curious, what are you gonna do next? Pursue it using your own insurance company?

I’m sticking with the certified Lucid shop for repairs, and I’ll work through my insurance for now.
